Lex was diagnosed with high risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia September 2019 during the first month of 5th grade at age 10 years old. He began his journey with chemotherapy 2 days later. He was put into remission after 1 month of chemotherapy and will continue intensive weekly treatments over the next year and then monthly treatments for 3 years in hopes of keeping the cancer away. Many of the medications he is being treated with are over 50 years old with terrible side effects both now and lifelong. We hope to raise money to increase childhood cancer awareness, and fund better, less toxic treatments for children like Lex. We have received amazing and personal care at AFLAC and feel so blessed to be a part of this community of dedicated medical professionals. All of the funds raised through Team Lex will directly benefit Leukemia research. Please help us cure childhood cancer!
