My name is Jamarius Wells and I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 11. I live in Rome, GA and I attend Rome High School. When I first heard the news I had cancer I couldn’t believe this was happening to me. I was a good student and I have played football since the age of 7. This was a big pill for me to swallow but with God, family and friends on my side I knew I could fight this. I’ve been receiving chemotherapy treatments and taking medicine for the last 3 1/2 years at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Hospital. I was determined to keep fighting so that I could play football again. I am now 14 and I have just finished my last chemotherapy treatment on September 7th, 2022. This has been a long journey for me but I never gave up. I’m back playing the game I love and as of today I can finally say I BEAT CANCER!
